On December 27, 2024, within the framework of his working trip the Minister of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kanat Sharlapayev visited Atyrau Wagon Factory.
Shota Abkhazava, Head of TEXOL Group of Companies, demonstrated to the guests the production and construction of new workshops of the plant.
During the meeting there were discussed plans to expand the production areas, as well as a wide range of nomenclature, which will be presented at the end of the realization of the whole industrial project in Atyrau. The day before Atyrau Wagon Factory received a certificate of compliance with TR TS 001/2011 for serial production of hatch gondolas 12-6785 and fitting platforms 13-6792 until 2029. Biaxial bogie 18-6786 with axial load of 23,5 tons has been certified for production for the same period.
To date, the installation series of certified products has been determined - 8 thousand gondola cars, 5 thousand platforms and 15 thousand bogies. Atyrau Wagon Factory has received the manufacturer's branding - the conditional number 3004 has been assigned to Atyrau Wagon Factory.
In 2027, after the plant reaches its design capacity of 7,000-8,000 railcars per year, it will produce oil and gas tanks, 40 and 80 foot fitting platforms, hatch gondolas and boxcars.
Full localization of production will be carried out using materials produced in the country. More than 3700 jobs will be created at the enterprise for specialists of various profiles, such as: fitters, welders, drillers, riveters and others.
