On July 30, 2025, a landmark event took place in Atyrau — the official opening of the first fully automated Wheelset Workshop in Western Kazakhstan.
This first-of-its-kind facility in the region specializes in the production and full-cycle overhaul of wheelsets for freight cars. The plant has a production capacity of 10,000 wheelsets per year.
The grand opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Akim of Atyrau Region Marat Murziev and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the TEXOL Group of Companies, Shota Abkhazava.
Currently, more than 80 people are employed at LLP “WCM Atyrau.” All of them have undergone specialized training and improved their qualifications. Since receiving its marking number, the company has already produced 300 wheelsets, which are used by TEXOL in its railcar manufacturing operations.
