Be on top of your game!

A modern basketball court was opened in Balykshi district of Atyrau city.
The project was initiated by the Public Association ‘Atameken Eco’ at the request of youth representatives of this small district and implemented with the support of local entrepreneurs and the city administration. The main sponsor of the project is TEXOL group of companies.

Atyrau Akim Shakir Keikin, Atyrau Regional Maslikhat deputy Arman Khairullin, head of TexolTrans Boris Ziganshin, sports veterans and residents of the district took part in the opening ceremony.
Shakir Keikin congratulated local residents and guests on the opening of the site and emphasised the importance of developing such initiatives:
‘This is an important project aimed at increasing the interest of our residents, especially young people, in health and sports. We hope that future champions will grow up on this field built for the benefit of people. We express our gratitude to the citizens who have done such good deeds. Thanks to such support, the future of our city will be bright!’
Boris Ziganshin noted:
‘The basketball court is not only the development of sports infrastructure, but also an important step in bringing up a healthy, active generation. Now the residents of Balyksha will be able to play sports in a quality and safe environment’.
Arman Khayrullin thanked all the project participants, co-workers and volunteers, thanks to whom it was possible to finish the construction in two months.
The mural (monumental painting on the walls of architectural structures) depicts Ramazan Samsin (No. 77) and Makhambet Kyazimov (No. 34) — a native of Balyksha, playing in the basketball team ‘Barsy Atyrau'. At the far end of the overall composition is megastar LeBron James — American basketball player, playing for the NBA team ‘Los Angeles Lakers'. The mural was painted by a team of artists led by Meirbek Bakhtiar.
At the end of the ceremony, participants of the professional basketball club ‘Barsy Atyrau’ played an exhibition half.
