A social village for rehabilitation of children and adults with brain and spinal cord injuries.
The project was initiated by the Public Association ‘Atyrau. A Little Country’ and was implemented with the support of the regional administration, local entrepreneurs and organisations. TEXOL Group also supported rehabilitation specialists. A training centre and a hotel complex were built and fully equipped.
Facilities have been created on the territory of the village to increase physical activity of persons with disabilities, their rehabilitation and socialisation. Rehabilitation includes physical therapy, zootherapy — a method of treating patients with the help of pets (dogs, cats and horses). This is the rare case when treatment brings not only benefit but also joy to the patient. Patients look forward to the next treatment, and positive mood and emotions are known to be a prerequisite for successful treatment. Bashkir horses are chosen for hippotherapy.
Volunteers are engaged in ensuring the healthy condition of the animals involved in the therapy. TEXOL provided hay and fodder for the hippotherapy horses.
The centre's research programme was also funded, leading to the publishing of 13 scientific reports.

According to Yerlan Asylbaevich Kumiskaliev, head of the public association, any social programme requires resources, so ‘’A Small Country‘’ serves all visitors with the aim of self-financing. In addition, the staff of the association is engaged in the production of biohumus, anyone can taste saumal and kumys. The price list provides benefits for special categories of the population.
